that Java is an object oriented programming language and a platform in which you can run java programs. JavaScript is used in web based applications or in web sites for interaction between client-server and evaluation of the data input from the user.

Είναι μια γλώσσα script (όπως και η PHP) και χρησιμοποιείται για τον προγραμματισμό σε εξυπηρετητές (servers). Δηλαδή ο κώδικας της Javascript ενσωματώνεται στη σελίδα HTML, μεταγλωττίζεται από τον εξυπηρετητή (server) και το αποτέλεσμα στέλνεται για εμφάνιση στον εκάστοτε φυλλομετρητή (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera etc).
